Girls in Physics

Middle school students will learn the fundamentals of quantum mechanics in an engaging, fun format.   Quantum computing is the future. Predicted to revolutionize industries ranging from healthcare to finances to AI, companies are racing to incorporate quantum technology.

This event is presented in partnership with the Maryland STEM Festival and Young Women in Bio (YWIB) and will be taught by high school students from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. It is recommended for students in grades 6 – 8.   There will be

  • An interactive presentation with YouTube clips, simple problems, matching, and more!
  • Chance to play original quantum computing games to give students a taste of the real thing!
