DESCRIPTION:The treatment and management of COVID-19 patients is evolving rapidly. There is a global effort to discover novel treatments and test existing therapies that are safe and effective. \nTo date\, the FDA has only granted a few Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA) for COVID-19 related treatments including: Remdesivir from Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ – GILD)\, convalescent plasma and gammaCore SapphireTM CV from electroCore\, Inc. (NASDAQ – ECOR). More innovation is needed faster. \nDavid Shulkin\, MD\, 9th Secretary of Veterans Affairs\, will moderate a 45 minute Essential Conversation on COVID-19 therapeutics and management of the virus with patients at home and in the hospital with medical leaders on the front line of the fight against COVID-19.
