DESCRIPTION:Worlds of Work (WoW) is an award winning\, branded\, career exploration event that has been utilized across the country within the past 10 years. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) along with its Blueprint for Maryland’s Future partners\, will offer the model and its branding to a pilot group of 8th graders. It aims to expose students to various career paths and industries early in their education to make better informed decisions. \nEvent Details  \nWhen: March 17\, 18\, and 20\, 2025\, from 8 am – 1:30 pm (includes set up and break down). You select one day\, two days or all three. Note the break in the week. You are able to set up the evening prior\, if preferred. \nWhere: Montgomery College Rockville Campus \nPurpose: WOW is an innovative\, no-cost pilot career exploration event that brings together students\, educators\, and employers. It is designed to bridge the critical gap between academic learning and real-world career opportunities. This is NOT a job fair; rather it is informational with exhibits only. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nApproximately 800 students per day\nEmployer continental breakfast and B2B networking\nAdvertising your services to over 200\,000 community members\nReceive a digital recognition badge of support to display on your website and marketing materials\nA chance to grow your industry and business by telling your story to the future workforce – impressions are made early!\n\nHow: Students will engage in interactive experiences across multiple industry sectors\, learning directly from employers and professionals who are passionate about sharing their journey. The aim is to get kids excited about the Worlds of Work and help them be more intentional about career choices and coursework that lends itself well to their interests. \n​For employers interested in participating and becoming a founding champion of this exciting initiative\, please register at the WoW Employer Hub.
