SUMMARY:2023 Grand Seminar Lecture: Life's Code
DESCRIPTION:Loyola University Maryland’s Academic Division of Natural and Applied Sciences presents the 2023 Grand Seminar on November 7th at 6 p.m. in McGuire Hall. Keynote speaker Dr. Adam Phillippy\, Senior Investigator at the National Human Genome Research Institute\, will discuss “Life’s code: the 30-year quest to read the human genome.”  He will explore DNA as a programming language\, highlighting the complex nature of biological systems. This event marks a step toward understanding and modifying genomic code for the benefit of humanity.  This event is open to the public\, and registration for the event is done through the Grand Seminar website. \n
