SUMMARY:Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Program WEBINAR
DESCRIPTION:The Maryland Department of Commerce recently announced the Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Program to provide grants to small and mid-sized Maryland manufacturers to invest in Industry 4.0 technologies to modernize their operations. \nView the announcement here \nIn support of this initiative\, Maryland MEP is working to support the manufacturing community to help support you through the application process. \nDue to the overwhelming interest in the program\, Maryland MEP is hosting a webinar next Wednesday\, September 7th from 9:00 – 10:00 am. \nWe will share insights\, best practices and answer as many questions as we can in an effort to help you put forth a strong application. \nWe have invited special guest\, Todd Sabin\, Program Manager at the Maryland Department of Commerce\, to join for the first 15 minutes of the meeting to provide an overview of the program and eligibility requirements. After\, Mike Kelleher\, Executive Director of the Maryland MEP\, will answer questions and provide further insight. \nThe Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 grant program provides grants to small and mid-sized Maryland manufacturers to invest in Industry 4.0-related technologies\, machinery and robotics\, and digital business practices to remain competitive and drive growth. \nProjects must clearly demonstrate a tie to Industry 4.0 and a long-term strategy for the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and the impact on the business. Funding will provide up to 50 percent of the total project costs with a minimum grant amount of $15\,000 and a maximum grant amount of $50\,000. \nTo be eligible for the Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Program\, your business must meet all of the following requirements: \n\nBe an existing business in good standing with the State of Maryland\nHave between 3 and 150 full-time employees (defined as an employee who works at least 1\,800 hours in a 12-month period)\nHave minimum annual revenue of $1m\, not including grant funding\nHave a two-digit NAICS code of 31-33 for your organization in the Dun & Bradstreet database\nHave been established for a minimum of 3 years\nBe in good standing with federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health regulations\nDemonstrate an ability to successfully implement the proposed project\nDemonstrate an overall commitment to\, or strategy for\, Industry 4.0 adoption\nDemonstrate ability to provide matching funds\n\nDirect link to the application can be found here: \nMaryland Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Program ​​​​​​​ \n
