SUMMARY:Developing Alternative Administration Techniques for Therapeutics and Vaccines
DESCRIPTION:Expanding the mechanisms for administering therapeutics and vaccines may have the potential to disrupt the status quo and improve availability and accessibility of therapeutic and preventive treatments. This session will explore opportunities for alternative delivery mechanisms and novel innovations which aim to provide alternative methods of administration\, including micro-array patches and nasal and oral/sublingual administration. \nExperts in the field will explore current innovations in the space\, what the future may look like\, and how novel administration methods may help overcome the logistical burden that is commonly associated with traditional techniques. New mechanisms can produce new challenges but may also have the potential to ease administration\, reduce dosing requirements\, improve stability\, provide a slow release for greater efficacy\, and ultimately improve availability of vaccines and therapeutics. \n*This program is part of BLUE KNIGHT™\, a collaboration between Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS (JLABS) and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA). \n

SUMMARY:Maryland AI Roundtable: Growing Your AI/Tech Network
DESCRIPTION:Details\n\nOur February session will be a TEDCO Maryland AI Roundtable discussion focusing on Growing Your AI/Tech Network. This will be a fully participatory\, moderated discussion session. \nTEDCO is the Maryland Technology Development Corporation. For more on the AI Roundtable\, visit https://www.tedcomd.com/roundtables/artificial-intelligence-roundtable . \nWe’ll have a guest this month\, Brian Levine\, who is VP of Technology and Innovation at the Maryland Tech Council (MTC). Brian’s background includes many years working in government relations and at the Maryland Dept. of Commerce. He has an expert perspective on associations and resources for Maryland technologists and entrepreneurs. We could also discuss Maryland and local government relations if attendees wish. \nLet’s each bring our experiences with networking groups\, conferences\, incubators\, social media — resources for tech networking in Maryland and for industry and AI-linked networking across borders — to the discussion. Our aim is a fully participatory discussion\, tapping Brian’s insights\, although listening in the background is fine too. \nBy responding here\, you acknowledge and consent to our Code of Conduct: We seek to provide a respectful\, friendly\, professional experience for everyone regardless of gender\, sexual orientation\, physical appearance\, disability\, age\, race\, and religion. We do not tolerate behavior that is harassing or degrading to any individual\, in any form. Participants are responsible for knowing and abiding by these standards. We encourage all attendees to assist in creating a welcoming\, safe\, and respectful experience. \n\n
