The course covers the specific AWS features and tools related to configuration and\ndeployment\, in addition to best practices for configuring and deploying systems. \n*** As this training is funded by State of MD EARN Grant funding\, the information requested throughout the registration and participation process is REQUIRED by the State of Maryland for their tracking and statistical purposes. *** \n************************************** \nThis course is intended for: \n Systems Administrators and Software Developers\, especially those in DevOps roles \nWe recommend that attendees have: \n A background in either software development or systems administration\n Proficiency in maintaining operating systems at the command line\, such as shell scripting in Linux\nenvironments or cmd/PowerShell in Windows\n Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP\, HTTP) \nThis course is designed to teach you how to: \n Understand the AWS infrastructures as it relates to system operations such as the global infrastructure\,\ncore services and account security\n Use the AWS Command Line Interface\, and understand additional administration and development\ntools\n Manage\, secure\, and scale compute instances on AWS\n Identify container services and services available for serverless computing\n Build virtual private networks with Amazon VPC\n Configure and manage storage options utilizing the storage services offered with AWS\n Monitor the health of your infrastructure with services such as Amazon CloudWatch\, AWS CloudTrail\nand AWS Config\n Manage resource consumption in an AWS account using tags\, Amazon CloudWatch\, and AWS Trusted\nAdvisor\n Create and configure automated and repeatable deployments with tools such as AMIs and AWS\nCloudFormation \n  \n
