SUMMARY:SBIR Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Innovators\, entrepreneurs and small business owners struggle to identify critical financial resources to start or launch their ventures.  One solution involves a non-dilutive government funding source called the Small Business Innovation Research grant.  This funding is available at specific times of the year through 11 federal agencies and is based on a highly competitive proposal process\, encouraging U.S. small businesses to engage in federal research and development that is primed for commercialization. \nTo assist individuals seeking this funding opportunity\, the Energetics Technology Center\, in partnership with the Rural Maryland Council\, has designed a workshop to assist and prepare grant writers with their SBIR proposals.  The workshop will also introduce individuals to resources available in the community which help entrepreneurs develop and move these technologies toward commercialization and product sales. To register or for more info visit http://etctechfireevents.eventbrite.com. \n
