The STARTUP Showcase event marks the culmination of the 2026 STARTUP Accelerator™, a 14-week, intensive program designed to transform promising Maryland startups into revenue-producing, investment-ready businesses.
Nine program participants will showcase their startups to an audience of potential investors and influential industry leaders, with curated introductions and matchmaking. Each startup founder will demonstrate the knowledge and progress they gained from the program and share the specific needs to reach the next milestones in their businesses. The interactive showcase technology allows attendees to interact with the presenting entrepreneurs and offer warm introductions.
STARTUP Accelerator™ —presented in partnership by bwtech@UMBC and Innovation Maryland, and powered by FounderTrac™—is a Maryland-based virtual program designed to help founders accelerate growth. It is conducted entirely online, providing flexibility and accessibility for participants regardless of their location.
Through expert mentorship, proven frameworks, and peer collaboration, the program equips startup leaders with the tools to build scalable, sustainable businesses. Grounded in four core drivers of growth—leadership, product, marketing, and finance—the program provides a practical foundation for generating revenue and achieving profitability. Along the way, facilitators, mentors, and cohort peers offer guidance and constructive challenge, helping participants refine their strategies, uncover growth opportunities, and position their ventures for investment readiness.
