The Maryland Tech Council (MTC) hosts numerous events throughout the year that attract speakers and attendees from across the state and throughout the country. Each of our events are categorized within special interest areas that enable you to direct your dollars to targeted groups of technology and life science leaders. We produce events of all sizes (networking, educational, conferences, golf outings, etc.) from large-scale celebrations that reach a diverse audience, through smaller events that are focused on specific topics and encourage thoughtful discussion.

See below to learn more about our upcoming programming and sponsorship opportunities. For more information on getting involved, contact Wendy Worm at

MTC’s golf tournament will be held on June 18, 2018 at Cattail Creek Country Club. Join us for our Captain's Choice, four-golfer team tournament that includes golf, networking, raffles, contests and plenty of friendly competition. There are various sponsorship levels to meet your budget and get involved.

Each year MTC’s policy and leadership dinner connects business leaders from the technology and life science communities with policymakers in Annapolis. This is a valuable event where executives, MTC’s Board of Directors and members from the Maryland General Assembly come together to discuss important policy issues.

MTC’s annual Lifetime Achievement Gala is a black-tie optional dinner where we honor those who have exceeded expectations through their career to serve the technology and life science communities. Award recipients display commitment and leadership, both in the field and within their organizations. They have been instrumental in cultivating new ideas and encouraging creativity while demonstrating generosity and compassion, ensuring that their work benefits others.

We are excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Industry Awards Celebration and introduce our Best of Awards, combining two celebrations into one!

MTC’s Industry Awards Celebration honors the best in the region’s technology and life science communities and is one of Maryland’s largest and most prestigious award ceremonies. This is our 30th anniversary of acknowledging the work of individuals and companies that have changed the landscape of their industries and have ultimately touched the lives of millions of people. Awards go to those who develop the treatments, design the systems, and teach the children.

In addition to our coveted industry awards, our new Best of Awards provide opportunities to receive recognition in several new categories. The process uses an online nomination/voting system where members nominate companies and the community votes on the recipients. Categories may include: best place to work, best community service, best socially responsible company, best accounting firm, best law firm, best university/college, best financial institution, best marketing firm, best staffing and recruiting firm, best commercial real estate firm, and others.

Our new Innovation Speaker Series will feature prominent life science and technology professionals, venture capitalists and successful entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves as experts in Maryland’s ecosystem. This series provides the community the rare opportunity to learn directly from those who have excelled through innovation and dedication to their work.

Mark your calendars for Bio+Tech18 at the Baltimore Hilton on September 26-27, 2018.

Bio+Tech18 reflects the changing landscape where life science and technology converge by bringing together professionals in both fields so that they may meet and forge new partnerships that will lead to great new discoveries.

In its third year, Bio+Tech18 will continue to bring a plethora of networking and collaborating opportunities with professionals from C-Suite to research scientists in the life science, health IT and technology industries, as well as opportunities to learn from more than 50 industry-leading speakers and presenters, free mobile app and an engaging cocktail reception.

The roundtable series focuses on topics that are of interest to small and mid-sized businesses. Roundtables meet throughout the year, with each program headlined by a prominent industry leader. Roundtables give sponsors the opportunity to directly engage with their potential clients through small group educational discussions about important industry issues.

The Capital Forum is devoted to peer-to-peer networking and programs that highlight the latest topics of interest for the region’s leading financial executives and those interested in topics related to the business community. The Capital Forum encourages participants to network as well as learn from some of the area’s prominent executives, policymakers and thought leaders. The programming includes two educational breakfasts and one networking reception.

The MTC VMS program belongs uniquely to the Maryland Tech Council, and most importantly, our tech and life science communities. The most significant benefit of a sponsorship of this program is the recognition both regionally and nation-wide of a collaborative effort. Sponsors will be recognized as a partner in this key growing program and will have exposure to companies and the myriad of creative ideas and products these companies are bringing to Maryland. The MTC VMS program is represented at all major MTC events, providing even broader recognition for the sponsor and VMS throughout the state of Maryland.

The Maryland Tech Council’s 2017 Tech Tasting is a fantastic networking event that brings together Technology and Bio Health Companies with local restaurants, caterers, breweries and wineries.
